JCHE’s Ulin House, Leventhal House, and Genesis House are three interconnected buildings in an urban residential neighborhood of Boston. The 700+ units within these three buildings include studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. JCHE tenants who live at Ulin House, Leventhal House or Genesis House have access to Resident Service Coordinators, a geriatric nurse practitioner who is on-site weekly, and an adult day health center open each weekday. Tenants who participate in JCHE’s CaringChoices program may participate in a daily Kosher lunch program. All tenants may attend lunch on Fridays. The buildings have libraries with collections in English, Russian and Chinese. Tenants also have access to a staffed fitness center; intergenerational programs; educational, cultural and social events; computer centers; handicapped accessible transportation; and volunteer opportunities within JCHE and the broader community. JCHE is in the process now of developing the Morton and Etta Shillman House in Framingham. The building is located close to public transportation and the many amenities of the Nobscot neighborhood. Shilllman House will have 150 units, including one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Ninety of the units will be affordable to low-income elders and 60 units will be available at market rents.
